The idea for this track came from being a bit bored with my usual electronica tunes that rely heavily on synthesizers and keyboards, so I set out to do something very different with mainly acoustic samples from my collection. It basically wrote itself from the first bar when I paired a wailing sax riff with a hiphop drum loop. Various bits and pieces with a jazzy flavor, supported by electronic noises to give it an edge just fell into place once I saw where it was headed – and thanks to an old vocal sample CD I found a female rapper to add some verses.
